Research Themes

The Study of the Student’s Cognition of Nature

I conduct questionnaire and interview surveys to generate and analyze a knowledge model based on the data.

Using of Self-Organizing Maps in Science Teaching

I summarize and analyze text data, including teachers’ and learners’ speech, the content of learners’ descriptions, and the content of textbook descriptions in scence class, and comments in class summary meetings using self-organizing maps. Similarly, I analyze academic evaluation data.

Analysis and Evaluation of Science Classes

I analyze learners’ thoughts and attitudes towards science class situations, and examine the manner of higher-quality science instruction through video recording and analysis of prominent science classes.
