Irreversibility  (Time's arrow) Why does a time-asymmetric (or irreversible) behavior of macroscopic systems arise from a time-symmetric (or reversible) microscopic laws? We have investigated this unresolved problem by means of time-reversible N-body simulations, etc.

Relaxation process in self-gravitating systems

Relaxation process in self-gravitating systems Negative specific heat plays an important role in astrophysical phenomena, such as in gravothermal catastrophe of globular clusters and black hole thermodynamics. We have numerically investigated the statistical mechanics, thermodynamics, and relaxation processes in self-gravitating systems.

Structure formation on clusters Clusters have attracted much attention from many researchers since their properties are quite different from those of corresponding individual materials. We have investigated a structure formation of clusters such as galaxy clusters or nano-clusters.
