Effect of LTBP-1(latent TGF-b binding protein-1) SNP on carcinogenesis
TGF-beta is a multifunctional cytokine and important regulator of almost all major cell behaviors and activities, including cell proliferation, adhesion, motility, apoptosis, differentiation, inflammation and immunesystem. Thus, deregulation of the TGF-beta signaling pathway can promote tumor initiation and progression. We analyze the TGF- beta binding proteins function as regulators of TGF-beta expression and activation.
