Research Themes

Utilization of Lignocellulosic material and biomass with ionic liquids

The utilization of lignocellulosic biomass is a major challenge for sustainable and cost-effective green world. It is well known that the most important process for the second-generation bio-ethanol is efficient pretreatment of lignocellulose. We are studying the ionic liquids pre-treatment method as a green and energy-efficient pretreatment.

Reaction control by using ionic liquids, supercritical fluid and plasma

We conduct bio-ethanol production with ionic liquids, hydrogen generation with solar light, immobilization reaction of CO2, etc.
