Research Themes

Visualization of Electromagnetic Waves

By using newly developed sensors, spatial distributions of electromagnetic waves are intuitively visualized on a PC screen. This is quite useful to localize the electromagnetic noise sources in electric and electronic equipment.

Analysis of Plasma Wave Data Observed by Satellites in Space

On the basis of data analysis of plasma waves observed by scientific spacecraft, structure and dynamics of geospace are investigated.

Design of Plasma Wave Receiver Onboard BepiColombo/MMO

Plasma wave insturment onboard Mercury orbiter "BepiColombo" (JAXA-ESA collaborative project) is developed. Especially tri-axial search coil sensors are being designed, fabricated and tested, to detect weak AC magnetic fields around Mercury.
