研究課題

国際社会における文化遺産の政治力学

本研究は、国家・非国家主体による文化遺産の形成・推進の国際政治的側面とそのメカニズムを明らかにするものである。とくに、世界的価値がある歴史的な建築物、慣習、文書などを人類共通の遺産として扱うユネスコの「世界遺産」「無形文化遺産」、および、「世界の記憶」プログラムの場で争われる文化遺産の形成・推進やそれらをめぐる論争に焦点を当てる。これにより、これまで別々に発展してきた遺産研究と国際政治学の知見を生かした融合研究の発展を目指す。
