Research Themes

Analysis of structure of numerical solutions of differential equations

I analyze structures of numerical solutions with additional applications of computational experimental methods that are often used in recent chaos theory and complexity systems (for example, application of evalutaiton of attractor fractal dimension and wavelet transformation) in order to assess whether the instability due to nonlinearity is captured in discrete dynamic systems manifolds with incomplete grid points by finite time.

On dependence of structure of numerical solutions on insertion of random errors

I investigate structures of numerical solutions concerning stochastic difference equations which are generic deterministic equations with added stochastic random terms from the standpoint of stochastically dealing with the involvement of errors in numerical computation. Additionally, I analyze error involvement in actual cases such as fluid calculation with regards to contribution of stabilization and instabilization to the structure of a numerical solution.

Study of mathematical model describing nonlinear phenomena and their numerical simulation

I formulate mathematical models to innovatively describe a variety of intriguing phenomena in physics and engineering, and examine the results by conducting simulated calculation with a computer. Further, I study simulation results in detail, and consider the universality underlying such phenomena.
